About ZIPNEWS

News. Simplified. Amplified.

Welcome to ZIPNEWS, your comprehensive source for breaking news, trending stories, and in-depth coverage across all major categories. We believe that staying informed about the world shouldn't be complicated or time-consuming.

In today's fast-paced digital age, news is scattered across countless sources, making it challenging to stay updated on what truly matters. ZIPNEWS solves this problem by aggregating the most important stories from trusted sources and presenting them in a clean, easy-to-digest format.

Our Mission

To simplify news consumption by bringing you the most relevant stories from leading sources—all in one place. We amplify what matters, helping you stay informed without the noise.

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing accurate, timely, and relevant news across all categories. While we aggregate content from various sources, we carefully select our partners to ensure you receive high-quality journalism and analysis.

ZIPNEWS is designed for everyone who wants to stay informed about the world — from current affairs and politics to sports, entertainment, technology, and beyond — without information overload.

How Our Feed Works

Zip News is an automated aggregator. We do not write the stories in our feed and we do not take sides. The same written rules apply to every outlet, party and government.

Ranking: A story ranks higher when more independent newsrooms cover it and when it is recent. Each card shows who owns the outlets that covered it, and which major newsrooms did not.

Government press releases: Statements from official bodies (such as PIB, RBI and SEBI) are press releases, not reporting. They rank at half weight until a newsroom also covers them. This applies to any government.

Stories only one outlet reported: Ranking by coverage can bury stories that only one newsroom was willing to publish. So one feed slot in ten is reserved for a recent story reported by a single vetted outlet. Outlets are vetted on how they work, never on their politics: named editors and reporters, a known owner, a public corrections policy they actually use, and no record of fabricated stories. Any outlet that meets this standard qualifies.

These stories are labelled "Reported only by [outlet]* · not yet confirmed by other outlets we track" (see what our coverage labels mean). We show the outlet's own headline and words, linked to their page. We add no AI summary of our own, and we never send push notifications for them. When other newsrooms confirm the story, the label changes to "First reported by [outlet]* · now confirmed by N outlets we track". A label tells you who reported something, not whether it is true.

What Our Coverage Labels Mean

Some stories carry a label such as "Reported only by [outlet]* · not yet confirmed by other outlets we track" or "First reported by [outlet]* · now confirmed by N outlets we track". The asterisk links here. These labels describe only what our own system can see, at the moment the page was generated. They are not a statement about the wider media, and they are not a judgement on whether a story is true or false.

In particular:

Every labelled story links to the outlet's own article and uses the outlet's own headline and text. Responsibility for the content of an article rests with the outlet that published it. If you believe a label is wrong, or that a story is unlawful, write to contact@zip-news.com.

Grievances and Takedown Requests

If you believe a story in our feed is unlawful or infringes your rights, write to contact@zip-news.com with the story link and the reason. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours. Valid legal orders are acted on within 24 hours, and we keep a record of every request and the action taken.

Corrections Policy

Accuracy is our highest priority. If we publish an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with the date and nature of the correction.
